The United Kingdom does not belong to the euro zone. It is very hard that a currency with so much history as the pound disappears. However, the United Kingdom is one of the most affected countries by the global credit crunch with a strong currency depreciation of the Pound against the Euro.
The foreign British sector is very unbalanced. It is the European country with the highest commercial deficit, although it is also the one that receives more foreign inversion and that has more presence in multinationals.
London (the City) shares with New York the title of the world financial capital. It is also seat of many insurance companies (Lloyd´s), publicity agencies and influential newspapers (The Times, Financial Times or the Guardian). For our office, London has historically be a very important focus for the development of our business in all our offices. We have many preferential agreements with the main actors in the different sectors of the British economy, for the emission and reception of investment.
