With the operation advised by Óscar Murillo and his team, the logistics giant Grupo Alonso, historically linked to the port of Valencia, has accelerated its plans to create a large intermodal network connecting the main ports of the Iberian peninsula with freight trains. The Valencian company, already present in road and maritime transport, has taken a majority shareholding in Compañía Europea Ferroviaria (Cefsa), which has a licence and its own fleet of freight trains.
