The Malaga Commercial Law team led by Francisco Gallardo has advised on a relevant M&A operation for the hospitality distribution sector. The French group Pomona has acquired Sanamar, a Malaga-based company with an important presence in Andalusia, specializing in the sale of frozen seafood products to hotels and specialized stores. Sanamar Alimentación had a turnover of 35 million in 2022, so the turnover after the acquisition by Pomona Iberia will be 125 million, making it one of the five main groups in the sector in Spain. The French group at an international level had a turnover of 4,600 million in 2022, it has a total of 80 companies in the three markets in which it operates: France, Switzerland and Spain. These companies employ approximately 11,500 people together.
